I am new to this group and I love my merc she is called big Bertha .
However she is quite old 2002 , hee alarm randomly goes off most nights always around midnight and it’s driving me mad and my neighbours !! I just don’t want it to be audible how can I solve this ?

Most likely the batteries have corroded in the alarm siren and you need a new siren.
Get a price from MB Newcastle who will deliver next day.
Not sure on an ML where its positioned but it should be a simple DIY job to change.
No coding is required.

I've had a Google search
The alarm siren on a 2002 ML is under the plastic windscreen scuttle.
You need to remove this, and the wiper assembly and the siren is on a bracket behind it.
