I don't think they'll fit the C class as the offsets are different.

But if they will fit a 300E then they'll fit a C-class. Those wheels WILL NOT fit a 300E unless he has used spacers or something.

Doesn't the S class use thicker wheel bolts as standard?

I know the W140 are thicker, use the same as a ML. The W220 wheels fit the W140 fine, so the bolt holes are the same size. If you put a S class wheel on a C class then the wheel bolt is slighltly smaller so the wheel won't be held in place 100% properly
