Alternator charging Volts

Replaced the Mercedes Battery (Mercedes quoted"new £300") with a Varta Battery £175, Mercedes use Varta anyway!!
The new battery cured the Stop/Start issue even though the old battery was showing 12.7v
My Query is,
On the Dash its showing the Alternator is charging at 14.7 to 14.8 and my battery / alternator tester is showing the same value and the LED blue indicator is on High for the Alternator, preferably it should be in the green. from what I can gather.
Is this something to be concerned about ? I don't want to cook for want of a better word the new battery, I'm assuming the 2017 GLA 220 has smart charging.
Your observations appreciated.

It used to be 13.7-14.3, but over the last few years it seems to be 14-14.5 so yours is near enough - assuming that your voltmeter is accurate.
Smart charging will see the voltage go up to 15v or even a little higher on the overrun and return to around 14.3 under ‘normal’ driving.
You may also see the voltage drop as low as 12v-13v when accelerating. This is all perfectly normal.
TL:DR Your voltage looks absolutely fine.
