It certainly looks as though it could. Is it fibreglass ?

If so, it should be quite easy. Have you got the rest of the kit though?

Its light weight plastic, not fibreglass

Wow, they look like beauties, wish I had kept them now, ended up with some copies.
They look great but the paint is starting to peel, also when I had the tyres fitted they were miles out of balance and had to have £10 worth of lead on them to bring them right.

Never again.

Selling it soon anyway, looking for a John Deere!!!!

Do you think the AMG skirt can be repaired ok? I guess araldite inside the skirt should do and some sanding down before a respray ?

Personally I would sand down the inner surface around the break and use fibreglass matting and resin to make a stronger fix. Araldite would be very localised on the joint as opposed to the reinforcing properties of a fibreglass repair.
Obviously the outside is a different story but I would prepare the edges about 10mm outwards of the break and allow a little of the resin to seep through.
Finish with some fine filler and stopper and paint.

They are the same AMG's i had on my W220  , great taste for someone north of Marble Arch (London)

That's the benefit of an Oxbridge education :)

yes.

i bought CLK sideskirts with damage for my CLK cabrio.

i successfully repaired them with that "bumper" repair putty stuff you can get from Halfords. i never had a problem with the repairs.

Thanks for that. I used to live in Dunfermline when I was in the RAF many years ago at Pitreavie Castle Rescue Co-ordination Centre. Many very happy memories there :o: :thumb:

plastic can be repaired with fiber glass as suggested, or with heat, using a soldering iron, gently melt the plastic and it will nitt together, or use one of the specialists who do dash and bumper repairs
