The box arches were a key styling feature of 80's Vauxhalls.

I loved the look of my Nova for those arches, far to muscular for a supermini!!

its crazy... its sort of put me off widebodies totally!

I really never did like the widebody's, it wasn't even a racing modification which is where most of these conversions have their roots.

I remember when I was little and my Dad bought a nearly new Escort XR3i Cabriolet. The dealer had an interesting story from it - the oldish lady who originally bought the car took it to a bodyshop and told them to make it look unique. They put wide arches onto it. She wan't impressed and sold the car right back to the dealers!

My Dad however loved it
