An old car production factory

Yes, death traps, good thing times have moved on, otherwise every other accident someone would have been killed...:)

About as many buyers as people in the factory.

You'd think a low volume car would not justify such a number of robots.

Actually 1/3rd of a Million sold, but that wasn't the point of the post. It was to show the fully automated production.

Just about everything was done by robots, doors off, doors back on and aligned, headlamps aligned, etc.

I think PSA have often aspired for high volume executive cars. But with each new model they never learnt the lesson of the previous one, that only French company directors buy their executive cars.

The only nation to strike more than the British, the French OEMs realised where they needed to invest to survive.

Aren't they the most productive nation in Europe per worker and one of the most productive in the World?

Britain is one of the least productive although we work some of the longest hours.
