And the top brand in Europe is Mercedes, by a country mile

To put a positive spin on it: it could be that MB are extra picky and want your car to be even more perfect than when it left the factory.
It's part of their policy of continuous improvement.
Probably. Like BMW, who don't have recalls; they are "Technical Enhancements"
🐂💩

They were top in 2020 too....so nothing if not consistent! More worrying is that proper recalls are usually safety related.....other, non safety related, stuff is just done when they see the car for service etc so they are often not recalled for those sort of faults. So they might be seen as less safe by some!

It comes to something when you’re seemingly less reliable than a French built vehicle. 🤔🙄😉
They "could" argue that a recall isn't actually a reliability issue.

Being called in to have an airbag replaced for free, isn't quite the same as being stuck in limp mode somewhere off the A3 on a Saturday night.

But I get your point.

True, there’s always the thought of buying something French …………
Yes

Quite. My post was of course entirely flippant.

Fascinating to look at 2022 UK sales by manufacturer.
Didn't realise that MB was down 20%,
Or that MG was up 160% to the the equivalent of half MB Sales by unit.

Exactly. God help us 🙄
Which reminds me: Prince Charles learned to drive in this.
(Queen Elizabeth picking it up from the Slough factory)

Different times.
