Went to the great race this year for the first time, was for a stag doo but what a great weekend it was!!!

The cars there!!! - never knew that there were that many flash cars in the UK, in fact I never knew there where that many people in the UK (bit of a Brit gathering)

As for the race (what little I saw....hic!!) I have a new found respect for Corvette, the sound and the pace of the yank machine was unbelievable, made the Porcas and Ferraris seem very soft in comparison, but the DB8s looked good as well (no merc contingent this year)

AS FOR THE HEAT between 37 and 42 the hole weekend, I would seriously suggest that people get booking for next years race, one of the best weekend I have had!!!

Yep - celebrated 10th year of going.

Great run down & back although standards of driving noticably worsening year on year - those not on a hoon always used to leave plenty of space for those who were to pull into a line of traffic. Seemed that the lines of tail-gaiting cars a la standard UK procedure made an unwelcome appearance.

Racing was excellent - great to have some UK manufacturers (well nearly) in the running - personally just wish for fewer prototypes & more GT1/GT2 cars - prefer to watch them race.

They've even improved the catering arrangements!

Yep I was there this year in the Seven :D Brilliant trip as ever (my 6th trip :D ) but OMG was it HOT  35 degrees in the shade on Sunday!

MIke ML - you weren't part of the stag party on Camping Bleu next to the Lotus 7 Club camp site were you? If so I hope you enjoyed the (ahem, secondhand!) music from the band on Friday night!

Great race too - nice to see the Astons going so well for most of the time though it's a pity one of them only just failed to make the end (broke down about an hour from the end :( ). The Corvettes do sound amazing it has to be said, there's nothing that can quite match the deep rumble they make echoing up the pit straight!

Good on Tom Kristiansen too - an amazing seventh win in the event from him. Seems like a nice guy too - I met him at a print signing at Alex Reade's in London a few months ago and he seemed really friendly, not at all arrogant or stuck up and very happy to answer even the stupidest questions I thought of! So congratulations to him on topping Jacky Ickx's record in the Audi this year.
