Used 2005 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLS55 AMG for sale in Worcestershire | Pistonheads

I have asked the seller all the usual stuff, eg: how much thread left on tyres, when were brakes/pads last changed etc, when were the plugs last replaced. + any known issues with the airmatic.

One thing I have noticed from the photos is the Sat-Nav attachment on the window, as it has COMAND already there could be an issue...

Not necessarily! My mrs hates the inbuilt satnav hasn't got a clue how to input the data into command to get destinations up! She always takes the Tom Tom with her because it's easier for her to use! Could be a simple thing like that!?

I prefer to use my Tomtom for the live traffic updates and safety camera database even if the car has built in Nav so wouldn't be too concerned about that.

What he said. We always used TT instead, except of course in the GS430 in which the OEM satnav is brill

If I'm getting a large petrol it needs to have come from Affalterbach I'm afraid

No offence to W204 owners, but the prefaclift dash is just nasty, mate has one. Like the rest of them tho.

I'd love a G Wagen, except I'm not sure I could live with a 20 year old model which was slow, thirsty and difficult to live with.

Re: this CLS, seller has poor English and its difficult to understand his replies, from what I gather it has a broken drivers window, never had a gearbox oil change and told me he Doesnt know about sparkplugs.
Also, after googling mobile number I found an older advert so it would appear it has been on sale a while.

Karl, I know you have an Indy you use but I know a merc specialist who lives round the corner from me, he would give it a good once over and do all of those things VERY cheap for you! If the car drives good then they could be an easy way to get the price down!

All this would ring alarm bells , doesn't sound like a car that's been cared for ?

How's the ABC pump , how about the shocks ? If he doesn't know about plugs and can't be bothered to get a window fixed ...

The worry of buying a 'cheap' AMG that turns out to bankrupt me is the only thing that is keeping me out of a 55 SC !
