I saw that in the paper this morning.

it was also found that the back axle is damaged, meaning the Merc could not just be driven away without repair work

How did it get there then? Alternatively, how did the back axle get damaged while it was parked (did someone try and nick it?)

Bizarre that the car was left unlocked, too.
