Hi I am new here.

I am very keen to buy a w124 E320 convertible and came across this:

1994 MERCEDES-BENZ E CLASS CONVERTIBLE AUTOMATIC | eBay

Looking at the history, it looks like it has been on Ebay since 2009. It looks clean although I wonder if those pictures are 3 years old.

What is wrong with it?

Similarly, this one has been around for a while too.

Mercedes-Benz E320 Convertible Auto 1994(M) with Factory AMG Bodykit | eBay

There seem to be other that are up for more, so what is the deal with these two?

Does anyone know of a nice one to point me to if these are both dogs?

Manor Garage has had that one for ages, ditton a green one that is also advertised. I visited once several years ago to look at another one and didn't like the bloke, the cars were jammed in and he wouldn't let me test drive, cant see how he runs a business keeping stock as long as he does.

On the face of it the silver one looks nice, but few 124 cabs are selling at the mo, which I reckon means they are too pricey.

I think I saw it on autotrader a year ago for about 11k, and was surprised to see that it was still there now. There are cars on both autotrader and eBay that are up for more than that one but do not look so clean.

What would you say is a sensible amount to spend on a clean one with HG and loom sorted, this side of Xmas. Don't really want to be tinkering too much on it once it's bought but then I do not have 15k to spend on a 'specialist MB' dealer car.

Would 7-8k be a realistic target price? Should I bydget more than that for a clean E320?

Where is a good place to find honest privately owned cars? Reading a few threads here it seems many recommend that route, yet on autotrader and ebay nearly all the cars are on forecourts.
