hi have a 1990 sl500 lhd fully loaded.When you move of the asr light comes on and the accelorater gets very heavy it has cruise. The faults say left/right rear axle solenoid valve 1 (y53y1,y54y1) left/right rear axle solenoid valve 2 (y53y1,y54y2) there are no abs sensors at the hubs which should be L6/4 and L6/3 ther is 2 sensors going into the top of the diff one on each side been on wis and cant find y53y1 or y54y1 any body got any ideas ??????

there are valves on each side... two hydraulic pipes going to it and an electrical connection.

ASR uses the ABS wheel speed sensors, and your system is going into limp mode for some reason.

ASR uses a combination of wheel braking (of spinning wheel) and cutting off of engine power via the drive by wire throttle.

Make sure tyres are all equal including inflation.

measure ABS sensor resistances and check wiring to sensors intact.

got it sorted in the boot there is a 3 pin plug one of the pins fell out of the plug refitted the pin and and know OK:bannana:
