i have recently ordered the E250 cdi with 5 speed auto transmission, and i have read somewhere (dont remember exactly) that mercedes will produce the new 7 speed auto gearbox starting from the january 2011. I dont know if thats for real but iam a little confused whether i stay to the 5 speed or proceed to the change of the gearbox. The order took place this october but the estimated receiving time is not until february. Will they accept change my gearbox if i contact with them? even if that means the arriving delay of the car.. but if not i would like to know also about the gearshift paddles.. the gear shift is not very fast as in the new golf gti for example, which uses the new gear shift paddles system with the double clutch, that is very disappointing because a car like the one i have ordered should be definitely equipped with this system. Can i change it in the future ? that is my question
