Well the end of the print magazine anyway. Writing was on the wall for sometime I think. End of an era after 36 years on the news stand.

When I was a teenager the autotrader was better than any comic I could have bought . I used to drool over the cars and bikes that I would own when I was older . Many happy memories

At least the print version wasn't full of bum-boys from Lagos seeing how many gullible Brits they can shaft with a 'Western Union' payment.

C'est la Vie

I can't even remember the last time I bought a copy of Autotrader.

I won't miss it.

Many happy hours spend scanning through the Bargain <£1000 section.

I can't remember when I last bought a printed copy , but I visit the website fairly regularly .

sign of the times I guess, I hope farmers trader has not gone the same way

Same problem has been killing newspapers & is going to eventually (& soon) kill paper versions of the lot of them IMO.

Why buy any of them when they are better & free available on line?

End of an era, but not a surprise - I can't remember the last time I bought the printed edition. Still, I have happy memories of spending far too many hours on the throne (the traditional place to read the TVT) leafing through the pages over the years!

Cheers,

Gaz

The only problem with online versions of papers is that you have to search for a specific story, you can't just stumble across a story like you can with a paper copy.

I think autotrader works better in electric form than paper form, so not a sad lost IMO.

Agreed end of an era...shame but sales must now be very low...

Whilst this is true, it's also a shame in a way. In a similar manner to that already posted about online versions of papers, I think that it's going to be much harder to just stumble across an interesting car like you could with the paper version.

Perhaps Autotrader need a lucky dip button? How else will you just happen to stumble across a Subaru Justy or Volvo 262.

I have fond memories of waiting for Thursday morning for the latest copy of AutoTrader (and then later on Top Marques) to hit the shelves whenever I was looking for cars.

Me too! When I was a man I did the same over Top Marques. I still often buy T.M and bought the last edition on the 18th June but no longer drool.
