Update: so I got everything working. Conveniently I could use the cars own gps.

Just as I was about to close up I realised the stereo didn't fit.

It was the wrong one. I ordered one for a w203 due to a clerical error.

The one I needed was a 9inch screen.
Luckily xtrons took it back and sent the replacement out strait away (it did take some convincing).

Excellent news! Glad you got it sorted

I presume you'll be removing the phone console holder, and if so - I can get you a part number for a storage / coin box that goes there, instead of the tray - I have removed mine, and replaced it with a brand new box ... I also have a few WIS pages, on how to do it.
