B200 turbo under side

Hi can anyone shed some light on what is positioned on the back passenger side of a b200 turbo. A large plastic trim has been damaged but I'm not sure what it was protecting and whether it's needed. Can't take a pic at mo as it's either two dark or to light thinking it might be the file tank? Cover but seems a dangerous place for it to be. Help appreciated
