After many cars I have eventually come back to Mercedes.

There's alot of great advice that comes from this forum so its good to be back.

Breifly, Had a C230K when i was 18 lowered on 19" bbs LM's. Soon got shot of it though after a total rebuild and respray, just wasnt a young lads car.

Did own a c200 cdi coupe about a year ago but wasn't abit of me either.

I've had around 15 cars between then an now but I must say quickly (im prepared to be shot down) the jeep grand cherokee with the mercedes 3.0 diesel is a fantastic car. One of the best 4x4's out there. My fathers 11 plate ML350 cdi was no where near as good in our opinion.

Anyway.... onto the new car, i've had it a month or so and have been very happy. Now looking for more noise so looking to put an X pipe on it.

Its a CLS55 AMG with HUGE spec, not too bad for a 21 year old i guess.

Im also looking to put new wheels on it, nothing chavvy, ideally the upgraded 19" concave amg's but only genuines, or possibly some ADV1's depending on price. I dont like messing around with Mercedes, especially the CLS but im also quite tempted by a carbon fibre rear diffuser.

All suggestions welcome for modding. Photos soon to follow

Mine is double black.
I've lowered mine, 12mm spacers n the back, light smoke to the windows and fitted black badges and grille
All OE.
I'm not sure about the grille and badges yet.

Nice car. IMHO the standard wheels look best, get the X pipe, drove one with it, nice sound but still refined. Tinted windows are a must. You may wish to consider a rentech lowering module. HTH

hi they dont do a carbon fibre rear diffuser for the cls55, i know i looked for one for ages, renntech do one but its lots of dosh.
check out my pics of my old cls55 on here somewhere, just check my old threads.
its the best looking car i have ever owned..

so is it a big ball ache to drop the car? i mean on my previous cars ive been big into dropping them on coilovers, 10J rims etc etc. But i just dont want it to look too low as it doesn't suit a cls. ALso whats the cost on them being lowered?

How much is the rentech one? I was also thinking about cks X pipe but to be honest it looks like just a standard bit of pipe, could i take it to my local powerflow expert?

You will probably want to shoot me for this but i found "carbon fibre" taiwan jobbies. Not a quality item but still looks sweet in the photos. It would be poor quality and fitment but my friend owns a top bodyshop and fits that sort of thing perfectly.

I have put on a CF cover over the black plastic insert in the rear bumper. Will post pics on my thread later on today if I get time!

IMO, The prob with the Taiwan ones is that they don't sit flush with the bumper...

I think the first thing I need to do is get wheels and an X pipe.

thanks for the links, given me alot to think about there. The lowering module seems more attractive to me.

Im very tempted by this. I went down to my local powerflow specialist today to have them make me an x pipe and they said they would have to remove my cats? Can anyone advise somewhere to make an X pipe in the southwest for sensible money?
