A 2 litre this time! Had a good look over and under it today, and the only real issues are a few rust blisters, and a non working fuel cut off, which is on order.Manual gearbox, roll your own windows and original wheeltrims, just how I like 'em!. Still love to get my hands on a very early non plastic slab 190.

More info, pics to follow when this ***** rain stops!

New front pads, and a pair of Sachs gas rear shocks fitted too, and it now drives like a baby Benz should!:bannana:

Lol, yeah. 2k paint, outside with a airbrush you can see in the 4th pic. Trick with solid colours is to put loads of paint on, then flat next day with 1200 wet+dry, then buff with G3,then G10. I was surprised how well it matched, 20 year old red paint is usually impossible to hide!

A long way from being perfect, but now looks like a cared for car!

I resprayed my C200 a few years back, it had far far more corrosion than the 190, and the paint was 3 stage, coloured primer, basecoat red, then clear. It was done with a big DeVilbiss gun,in my workshop, and was a lot more work. Just goes to prove the paint process on the earlier cars was far better.
