Hi I have found these comparable units so I guess they have the same 3 pin plug?Hi Adilliqbal ,yes I did find the sensor its on the left hand side of the engine on the top and goes into a rubber pipe .It is held in place by a flat clip under the bracket .The rubber pipe goes on to a metal pipe which goes into the exhaust manifold , you might find the metal pipe is blocked with carbon , mine was I un blocked it by heating the pipe and connecting it to a air line to clear it . I had to replace the sensor aswell . The sensor is made by Renault as and is far cheaper than getting it from Mercedes £106 from them. I ordered a genuine Renault one off ebay for £31.45 , Ebay no 253958714774 same Part number number as the sensor on my Merc. My car is running and driving fine as it should with no further problems. Hope this helps you.

I got this from a french website part looks identical to mine on mercedes a classHi to every one, new to the forum. I have a A180 2013 1.5d with fault code P0471 exhaust back pressure sensor Faulty Mounted and Faulty Signal .Could someone tell where the sensor is located and where to get one from thanks

I would like to concur with MAC1234: the Renault part plugs in fine. And I managed to clear the code on my reader. This part was 99 plus vat in main dealer. Will see how it goes as I didn't replace the pipe but on inspection seemed a clear flow of air and not blocked. I tried the tissue test with tissue paper but we use the dense luxury type and it wouldn't lift lol cheers MacHi Adilliqbal ,yes I did find the sensor its on the left hand side of the engine on the top and goes into a rubber pipe .It is held in place by a flat clip under the bracket .The rubber pipe goes on to a metal pipe which goes into the exhaust manifold , you might find the metal pipe is blocked with carbon , mine was I un blocked it by heating the pipe and connecting it to a air line to clear it . Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water code PO471 appeared again? New Renault sensor installed code was cleared can only think its the pipe blocked and nothing is reaching the sensor perhaps?Hi to every one, new to the forum. I have a A180 2013 1.5d with fault code P0471 exhaust back pressure sensor Faulty Mounted and Faulty Signal .Could someone tell where the sensor is located and where to get one from thanks
I presume the DPF temperature sensor on the Om607 A180 engine is just to the rear of the back pressure sensorJust got mine from Mercedes genuine parts, not too bad on price to be honest, had dramas with the Exhaust Actuator Valve / Flap due to this problem and a P0545 Exhaust Temp Sensor issue. The following is a diagram of parts, potentially same car, with part numbers on if you can see or when speaking with parts team at Mercedes.
Did DPF regen replaced back pressure sensor multi meter giving me live at terminal.. Reporting on ob2 that its sensor circuit issue. Possibly relay?Hi to every one, new to the forum. I have a A180 2013 1.5d with fault code P0471 exhaust back pressure sensor Faulty Mounted and Faulty Signal .Could someone tell where the sensor is located and where to get one from thanks
Did DPF regen now reading 0471 code plus still 0470 circuit a with new sensor fitted. Maybe rear sensor faultsYour DPF may need cleaning.
Thanks Guys, I've just posted a thread on this after going to a specialist. the BCU is showing a good airflow on pipe I did spray this with DPF cleaner as well. I am also getting a psi reading my end. They showed a DPF sensor fault that I didnt get on my ob2 and I think these are all false positives. Do I just go for a DPF clean with them to try and iron out all these sensor issues?A re-gen will not always clean the DPF. The bets way is to remove it and get it cleaned.
Hi there, these are all false flags to be honest I finally talked to a DPF cleaning specialist and the garages are a complete waste of time on this they will just replace sensors and charge for diagnostics but from experience it doesn't solve the problem. Our a180 finally went into limp mode after having dpf regen done and the back pressure sensor replaced and the garage suggested there was good airflow through the pipe on their BCU. I was also reading good psi through on my home machine. They picked up DPF sensor fault on their system that I didnt. But again if blocked its going to kick back that anyway as it can't read what it needs to. So its going in to get the DPF cleaned by specialists then we will see what everything else is doing r not doing as the case may beI have a B180 CDI (2014). Has come up with the same code PO471. The genuine MB back pressure sensor is on back order and unavailable (checked with two garages). I asked them to have a look at the connecting pipe having read about it being a potential problem on this forum, they say it does appear partially blocked but they were unable to clean it. In my mind if the pipe is blocked it makes sense to replace it, as there might be no error with the sensor and its only showing a code because it gets a different pressure from the blocked pipe. But they don't want to replace the pipe without replacing the sensor, I'm no expert so I wasn't going to insist.
Any idea how easy it would be for me to try replacing the pipe myself? The sensor is easily accessible, right on top of the engine. But the pipe goes down behind and appears to be secured with nut that isn't obviously accessible.
When you cleaned your pipe did you remove it first? I'm guessing you'd need to as you couldn't blast air and carbon dust back into it right?
By the sounds of your issue I could potentially replace both pipe and the sensor and it is still caused by an error elsewhere. The car does seem to have a bit more power to it since they attempted to clean the pipe, but I might just be imagining that.
PS if a 607 engine the bps from a Renault will fit from ebay 30 poundsHi there, these are all false flags to be honest I finally talked to a DPF cleaning specialist and the garages are a complete waste of time on this they will just replace sensors and charge for diagnostics but from experience it doesn't solve the problem. A good tip from the recovery guy today was if the DPF is blocked if you put your hand on the exhaust it will stop the car, equally if the DPF is that blocked the car is going to slow down and eventually stop. What is clear is that the powers that be have completely screwed the diesel engine up as we know it and we haven't even got to bad blue yet lol.
