Evening all, would any experts know if this.......

wheel bearing removal tool kit suitable for front wheel on eBay (end time 08-Oct-10 16:12:03 BST)

.... kit would be suitable for removing the rear wheel bearings on a w210? I know it's described as a front wheel kit but how would it know if I didn't tell it?

you may have missed the full description.

it said it is for front wheel bearings on FRONT drive cars.

your 210 is a rear drive car - is it not ?

The rear bearings on a 210 is totally different 'kettle of fish' and needs a very susbstantial tool set, or lots of dismantling and hub taken to a large hydraulic press facility.

Yes I know it's described as a front drive kit but it looks like it contains most, if not all, of the right sized mandrels to pull the outer race from the hub. It may well not be man enough for the job, or may need some additional bits that I might be able to fabricate in the workshop, for 80 quid though it may be a good starting point for the job.
