Believe this?

Looks like a whole lotta trouble to me. Window smashed suggests its had some fowl play, and also it 'needs to be towed away' .

Just to let everyone know..the car will need to be towed away as it has not been started for a couple of months, it is not starting at the moment* £1500 reserve not met What an optimist!

That is one shiney steering wheel... , and they could have atleast dragged it out the hedge..

It's simply not possible to tell from a couple of matchbox-sized pics and a poor description. You could inspect the car, verify the mileage and possibly get a genuinely overlooked bargain.

I must admit, it doesn't look good - but *if* the mileage was genuine (with very substantial history to prove it) it could be worth restoring from that point of view.

Not saying I'd personally want it with a broken window, no MOT and not running, but someone will.

Could be worth anything upto £5K+ if it was genuine, running, MOTd and in a tidy condition :)

To be fair, the whole interior pictured shines, so could be just an enthusiastic valet.

That mileage on a car of that age isn't a huge plus point anyway. They need to be used!

I bet the only paperwork to "prove" its mileage are a few old MOTs, that mean nothing.

It seems to have a leather sportsline steering wheel... these tend to be shiney unlike the standard dimpled ones. The wear on the bolster looks about right for 51k IMO.

I wouldnt write it off just yet, It may well be a genuine car.

I's a well optioned car: full leather, heated, electric seats, Climate Control (is that AC? Saw one listing where the bloke called the 2 adjustable freah air vents in the centre of the dash 'climate control!'), sunroof, OTG, fire extinguisher & probably more. Everything was an expensive option back then, even on these.

I've owned 5 cars with those seats & I can't tell anything from those pictures, though strangely there seems to be some wear (might just be glare) on the panel facing the door by the piping.

That window is a thieves' preferred access point or the cheapest way to get in a car if youv'e lost the keys - about a tenner at the scrappy & an hours work.

It's worth investigating further.

less than 3K miles each year? impossible.
Not at all :)

Some people bought these cars to originally cherish - I've seen a 2.3 for sale with a genuine 12K miles from new a while back ;)

Indeed, before I took over the C250, it had done 24k in 8 years.

It could be but I'd prefer it if the picture was taken on the driveway of a nice house rather than in a field, smelling of pikie.
