My boss has insrtucted me to buy a 5 Mega Pix camera for no more than £70, to use for work purposes, which he will reimburse me for:D The best I can find is this: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5605008/Trail/C$cip=50489.Photography%3EC$cip=50498.Digital+cameras.htm

It's currently £90 down to £70...do you chaps recon that's about the best I can get for the money?

:D Thanks Mike. My own personal camera is a five year old Fujifilm 2 Mega pix one and I must say, I cannot fault it. Even at 2MP the pictures are superb. The thing is, I am not paying for this one as it will be for work use (photographing bodge ups BT engineers do:eek: ) so the highest quality is not the main buying point. I like the idea that the Praktica comes with a case and I can insert an SD card that I already own into it, for extra 'grass your mate up' evidence shots!

I bought a camera (Pentax Optio M20) from Pixmania for £65. Camera is great, but the instruction manual is in French.

I sent an email pointing out their error, and asked for an English manual. They said that if I had read the Ts&Cs I would have seen that manuals may be in a language other than English.

Their answer was to download it fron the manufacturers website. They must be joking - 192 pages, which I can only print out on A4 paper and single-sided, as opposed to a small double-sided booklet that fits in the pocket.

Pixmania - never again!!

I reckon Pixmania prices are pretty competitive. There are drawbacks as have been pointed out but you pays your money etc------.
