correct me guys, but I think the leather was added after, the seats have pre facelift leather panneling and the 7 seat option has cloth.

It does look OK, but the pattern part new front wings and the N/s rear wing being resprayed don't do it any favours.

Certainly not later pattern leather seats, so given the cloth rear 7 seat, I reckon they have been done later.

I think so Charles,maybe as you say ^ they might be leather seats from early cars

So almost definitely an earlier interior transplanted.

It only has 1 new front wing, passenger side, and the alignment is terrible around the indicator. Not the bodyshop's fault - the wing is just pants...

Which is what I said, but the O/s wing has definitely been resprayed if not replaced. It's probably been replaced but a new or 2nd hand genuine one had to be used because of the vent.

Are you saying you know something more about this car?

My first car was a 2002 tii LUX in burgandy N-Reg. Fastest car I could buy as a teenager and still get a classic policy. The industry changed the rules a few years later and you had to be over 25 to have a classic policy. I learnt a lot about oversteer in that thing . 139BHP with Kugelfischer injection IIRC. Hit a lampost and had sell for spares you live and learn.

I would love to drive a Turbo, sweaty palms for sure.

It's been up for sale before. The photo show a mix of MB-Tex and leather and the rearmost seats are cloth but I suspect some are photos from an earlier date. Certainly there are three different mileages listed

I don't mean that to sound derogatory - it's quite a nice-looking car. But E300 Diesels are very hard to find in nice condition and you have to look below the surface to know what's good and what's bad

Are you saying you know something more about this car?

He lists the work done in the ad, only 1 new wing and the other resprayed hence the difference of fit.

What I am saying is just that if you are happy to accept that poor a job on a wing (to save on the cost of a genuine MB wing) what does it say for the rest of the rectification/modification?
