Blower/fan not working

The blower/fan in my CLK430 (2001) decided to stop working. From the fuse box it appears a 30amp fuse regulates this but the fuse seems okay. Any suggestions as to what I should be doing or looking at next? Mine's a cabriolet and I'd like the blower working in the event an Indian summer arrives and I can have the lid down!

Could be worn blower motor brushes ... less likely though if it's worked perfectly so far and suddenly (and consistentlly) not at all.

There are a few threads here on brush replacement, I did the ones on our Audi last year (a fraction of the cost of a new motor).

My Sprinter blower fan stopped working last year. Opened up the unit and it was full of nut-type seeds from one of our trees.
I Vacuum cleaned the unit and lubricated where I could and it is still working perfectly well.

The blower on my 210 has recently started blowing more-or-less full time, even when the dial is set to zero. Does anyone know what the cause may be?

TIA.

Paul.

Could it be dodgy contacts at the back of the control panel? My symptoms were worse - the blower would hardly ever blow at all.

The blower fan in my E220 stopped suddenly only last week.

The fuse looked fine, but I swapped it out anyway and the fan started working again and has been fine every since.

Is the motor under/behind glove box? I'm in LH drive if that swaps things around!?

Sorted with some 3 in 1 oil on motor bearings. Back online ready for Mallorca summer.
