Hi, my '05 CLK has Bluetooth connectivity but needs a code I don't have, any thoughts on how I can get it ? Martin.

isn't it 1234 or 0000?

1234 0000 works in my sprinters, but I think my CLK was 62872 :dk:
Think it depends on how you are connecting. VIA comand or using a puck in the center glove box.

Hi guys, sadly none of those work, my phone has found the connection but without the code I can do nothing. Any more ideas (beg beg) PS, no command. I don't understand your reference to a Puck ?

How are you connecting via Bluetooth? The two most common ways are COMAND with the additional Bluetooth module, or an adaptor in place of a phone in the armrest.

If you've got any paperwork that came with your Bluetooth system, that should tell you the code. - I think the ones given above are the default Mercedes codes; I don't remember having to enter one for my Viseeo MB2.

Hiya, I've finally got hold of the build sheet, and it tells me that the car has bluetooth connectivity ex factory. Very interested if any other codes have popped up ?

What is Bluetooth adapter? SAP or UHI. If you write part number of the module here I will help you. At the back side of the module there are ticket. Every one of the type will pair with different method. UHI use universal code, but there are few steps of one time pairing. SAP use different code every time. Just need accept pairing the 1st from phone, and 2nd from navigation. AND you must have Bluetooth cradle adapter. !!! YOU CAN NOT CONNECT DIRECTLY to UHI (this is command), You need a Bluetooth cradle.
Uhi Start with part numbers: b678.....
SAP- b67875878
SAP v3 & 4 start - A 212...

All are genuine Bluetooth cradles but work and pair different way.

Ok, Your 05 CLK will have the Phone Prewire (it was an option though). But 2005/2006 was the age where when you had that, it also popped up with a Bluetooth device caled UHI-SNI.... (or very similar), which was for pairing a privacy headset when using a phone connected to the phone prewire.

If you look in your armrest you will find the UHI connector (i.e the phone prewire connector). For bluetooth you must connect a bluetooth adapter to that, and pair that with your phone. If you have the Mercedes HFP adapter, press the bottom of the "top", for 5 seconds until the blue light starts flashing faster, and then pair your phone - the code is 62872
You may find some other cradle plugged in there (for a specific phone), on the top left of the "top" there is a small button - press that and at the same time slide the cradle backwards and it will detach allowing you to then connect a bluetooth adapter.

Martin, do you have a bluetooth connector in the centre arm rest? Sometimes referred to as a puck. If you do, post a pic and it may help solve your problem.
Some of these have a small raised circular button towards the back of it, you press and hold it down for a few seconds and the light flashes rapidly and its at that point you try pairing using the codes above.
It's normally (in my experience) 62872.

Great! This installation instruction about UHI. About the SAP V3 & 4 ( as A212 906 09 02 or A212 906 53 02) pairing is different. Both types can connect to all Mercedes models after 2004 y to last models with shell connector adapter. Both can`t play music, video etc... Only calling. If your current cradle is VISEO, better sell it in ebay and buy UHI (b6 787 5877 or the newest generation b6 787 6168 or b6 788 0000).
About pairing with SAP v3 or v4:
  1. Press about 3 sec the light button at the front side of the cradle. It should flash green and
  2. Search at the phone. You will choose and the navigation will add in dial list - your phone.
  3. Now use the command. Press dial list and you will see the name of your phone. Choose it. Better press 123 of the left side. Name of your phone will replace from many digits: as 2255337799554422. There are 16 digits ( you can see it at the down side if not use 123 mode. Now press on the navigation OK button.
  4. AT the phone will show to input the code. Insert 16 digits from command. Next will accept all automatic connections as UHI pairing.
The SAP is paired. SAP connect directly to SIM and phone will be in airplane mode. You can`t use it. SAP has 2 USB (one is mini) and can charged the phone. UHI can`t.

Thanks very much guys, I don't have a phone cradle and both armrest boxes are empty. There's a colour matched mike on the A pillar, and my phone can find a device but needs a code. I don't have Command. Bit of a mystery. Cheers.

IS the audio system only CD player monochrome display or color? if You don`t have Bluetooth cradle You CAN NOT CONNECT. You can see asking about code, but can`t pairing without Bluetooth cradle. You must add to pair with phone.
