Good afternoon everyone,

For the last few days my boot has been temperamental. It doesn’t like to be opened via the boot latch, so I’ve been using the key fob almost exclusively.

Unfortunately, it now doesn’t like opening on the fob now either. It makes the noises to open but the latch just doesn’t release. Even using the blade key it can be difficult to get it open.

I’ve dismantled the boot interior but northing jumps out at me, but tbh I don’t really know what I should be looking for.

One thing I have noticed is that the torq screw has been stripped on the left side and will not release, so that’s going to cause a problem…

Has anyone experienced similar and has a possible solution? Can the latch unit just be swapped out and if so at what sort of cost? Finally does anyone know the part number for the latch unit?

As always, any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers, Steve
