Boot spoiler

Hi has anyone purchased a boot spoiler for an E class coupe off of ebay. Most of the suppliers seem to be based in Taiwan and I wondered if they were any good. The adverts state that the spoiler can be bought painted but they don't seem to list my colour Tenorite grey.

I have and I was surprised by the good colour match of the iridium silver, the quality and very quick delivery. The high postage and low part cost strategy by some suppliers is just a way for the buyer to avoid import duty so don't let that put you off.

I bought one for a R129 SL and yes the delivery etc was all fine, but the part was completely off and went straight in the bin.

But hey, everyone likes a gamble!

I bought mine off eBay from China and it has been fine.

I got a boot lid lip off ebay. Its a very good colour match. Quality is fine.

It's actually a good time of year to buy one now it's getting warmer because it will help with adhesion and make the spoiler more flexible and easier to fit.

Well just to update spoiler arrived very quickly,paint match is perfect and fit is very good. It was supplied with plenty of 3m tape and is still firmly affixed even after a few high speed runs.

Like a previous poster, I got one for the R129, pre-sprayed and shipped from Taiwan and it was a perfect match and looks good.

Also got one for my X-Type as well as I was so impressed.

I got one for my w204 from ebay and got an invoice from UPS for approx £18 import tax, still well worth the money. The fit was really good as was the colour match.

purchased a c220 cdi blue efficiency sport in obsidian black and was looking at getting one of the boot lips, spoilers . was the one you purchased from taiwan , or somewhere else . see a few on there but not sure which to go for .

Hi I've just brought a c250 sport in silver phoned dealer today for a price and said
£517 painted ant paying are the ones eBay the same ?

The eBay ones come in different styles some are replicas of the Amg ones and some are replicas of The Lorinser style which is what I purchased. £110 + £22 FedEx charge.

Ok what's the difference between the two then heard off amg but the other one I haven't

The Lorinser type comes further down the bootlid so there is a section that rises up to clear the centre brake light. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah I think I would be better off with the amg one that's the small one am I right ?

Yes the Amg one is the slim one that sits on top of the boot.
