Recently fillled up with BP Performance Diesel. Car feels quicker already. Seems smoother and quieter. It costs a whopping 89.9p a litre but it was still only £50 to fill up. I don't know whether I am imagining it but the car seems different. Oh and I got 40.8mpg on the 17 mile journey home from work. I have never got more than 38mpg. Surely it can't work this quick ? (then again my last fill up was Shell Diesel Extra).

There have been several threads on 'performance diesel' fuels.
They appear to work better than the petrol equivalents.

When I had a BMW 523i petrol I noticed the same performance shift when I changed to Shell Optimax.

Filled up with this stuff in Gloucester 90p a litre and drove to Scotland the car went like a rocket what a difference

yep agree feels faster and up to 3 mpg more need a car magazine to do back to back test ie same car and different fuels

I've been using it solely since it was launched. The car does seem quicker and quieter, but I can't say I've noticed any improvement in mpg.

Give it try boys and see how you get on. There's a BP Ultimate forecourt locator here - it will say if it's only Ultimate unleaded.

I'll wang some in the Defender  and let y'all know.

Just noticed that BP recommends continuous use for at least 5 tankfulls...

I've used it from Day 1. Get more MPG, and the engine is so much smoother. Superb stuff.

Clarky.
