Breaking W210 E36 AMG

Do you think the AMG 3.6 will fit in my W202? If I bought the entire engine, wiring loom, ecu, transponder key.. Maybe my 280 manual gearbox will fit..

Yes to all of that. The C36 engine is based on the 2.8 unit. I don't know if it's the same story for the E36 but I'm sure someone will know :)

Cool idea, was just thinking out loud.. think though.. would be cheaper to buy a C36, I've done a couple of engine conversions.. 1.4 to 2.0 Astra, and a 8v to 16v in a Saxo.. cost a bloody fortune compared to selling the car and buying another!

THIS IS TURNING OUT TO BE A VERY EXPENSIVE WHEEL NUT!!!

That's an understatement and a half!

Still blow you into the weeds Ali ;)

£900 now.
And the sellers comment:

:D :D :D

Would a car like that dismantled fetch more than if it was sold in its entirety?

Probably.
He wants £3k ish for the whole car.
Say AMG engine for £2k, then leather interior £400, mirrors £100 each, Diff £200, gearbox £300, wheels £400+.

Already worth more in bits.

I have bought a C36 engine to fit into my W201 2.6.
The problem is not the size of the engine , but the wiring, you need all the wiring to the dash , unbroken, also you need the ignition barrel and key, in addition to all you listed.
The devil is in the wiring.
