I've had the car for a couple of months and spotted some of the insulating material under the bonnet had been gnawed. Now I know where the little fella must've been living!!

Well, he's got good taste. Where better to make himself a home than a nice warm Merc?

And taken away for regular holidays/outings.

I remember the nightmare my then manager endured when mice decided that the wiring loom and other plastic or rubber components under the bonnet of his Saab 9000 company car were great to nibble on.

I think the eventual repair bill topped £2k, and that was 20-odd years ago!

Fortunately no damage to wiring. Plenty of foam pads and insulation material under the bonnet to lure him away from the wires. Suspect it was a while ago so more fool me for not taking off the plastic engine cover when I purchased the car.
