If you are talking about a W124 manual the Haynes one stops at 1993. The Brooklands one does cover the later twin cam 4 and 6 cylinder petrol engines-- not sure about the multivalve diesels. Neither are totally comprehensive. If you have the early single cam 4 cylinder 230 PETROL engine Haynes will be fine. If you want greater detail on the W124 there are pirated CD copies of the official MB Workshop manual on Ebay but they only cover models sold in the USA . These are technically a breach of copyright of course and I am telling you this purely for the purposes of information.
