If you have Firefox installed should you uninstall IE9 and if you have Chrome installed should you unstill all other browsers.

I have all three installed and working without problem.

Doesn't matter at all.

But probably best to only have one open at a time, the browsers and plug-ins can be memory hogs.

I just use one.

Why the need for others ?

I normally use Chrome, and very good it is too.

I use IE when I want to log in to the Official Mercedes-Benz Club, as Chrome doesn't handle the Captcha process properly. It returns an error even though the characters are correctly entered.

Chrome is god, when you look through all the amazing features and shortcuts you will wonder why it took you so long to move over :D

Firefox is Bloatware these days.

Flashpeak Slim Browser? Avant?

Safari is the main browser, Chrome with restricted features, extra security and all ads blocked - for facebook... Still use firefox in Linux, although it's a slimed down version - no bloatware :)

Don't think it's even possible to totally uninstall Internet Explorer.
You can have as many browsers as you like on your PC and it won't make any difference. It's only Anti-virus software that doesn't get on with other similar programmes so you should only have one AV product on your machine, but although I use Firefox 99% of the time I've still got IE9, Chrome, Opera & K-Meleon on my Windows machine and FF, Epiphany and Opera on Linux.

As an update to my previous post I had loads of problems with IE9 automatically closing webpages that I started using Firefox and tried Google Chrome again which was an improvement for a while. I decided, after a computer nerd friend of mine suggested I have a look at and install Safari. All problems solved have now been running Safari for 14 days and very impressed. He did however suggest that I uninstall Firefox and Chrome but forget IE9 just leave it.

Safari is a great browser.

If you uninstall IE9, you will be left with IE8, well thats what happens on my PC, don't know what happens if IE8 is then uninstalled.

I have 4 browsers installed, and often run 2 or 3 of them at a time, multiple windows on each and multiple tabs on each window.

The only one I try to avoid using is Internet Exploder... it's dire compared to the rest...
