Slight accident with a raised kerb earlier. Is that a new bumper job or can something be done to semi fix it? Right foglight sign now on in dash as a fault.IMG_20231202_210715.jpg

That looks as though it could be refitted into place easily and repainted (I'd guess at £300 ish for the latter depending on where you go for the job). The fog light warning probably means that the wiring has been damaged but it should be obvious where with a dose of looking at.

So if I'm not bothered about it being repainted it shouldn't be too expensive for it to be fitted back into place?

Might need to start below the headlight washer , lightly Jack it up at some point in there then with another we Jack work further out blow head light and then round towards wheel once it’s all sitting as should checking as you go nothing stopping it going up it should with bit of luck sit back into place you could once your happy lower again slightly and do round the seam with tiger seal or a body glue of your choice and also see if you can get a fixing behind. Once set I would have thought a blow of paint round that corner and a buff it should be fine. And not expensive at all depending on how much you want to spend on the paint , some might even opt for a spray can and a mop over if not wanting it perfect.

Yes looks like you have broken a couple of clips that keep bumper to wing and may have damaged the cable to the fog light nothing to serious

Must have been the highest kerb ever!!

A bit of pressure, perhaps a cable tie or two if you have broken lugs, a can of colour matched spray from eBay and a reconnection of the foglight wire will have that passing the 50/50 test no problem!

If you don't know....the 50/50 test is car that looks like brand new.....from 50 yards at 50 mph!!

Haha brilliant, thank you. The kerb was obscenely high, I knew if I hit it there would be damage but wanted to do three point turn in the car park rather than ten point turn.

Hi, sometimes on these they have screws that go into the bumper bracket from behind the wheel arch liner. They can make it a difficult job to re-attach the bumper if they aren't loosened as they can add pressure to the bracket when tight. You may of course get lucky or a bit of persuasion...

Once fog light wiring/bulb/connector is sorted and bumper is reattached, smart repair guy will probably be able to get it.

Hope you get sorted.
