I'm heading up to Stratsone (Jaguar) in B'ham tomorrow having placed a deposit on a a 55 plate B Class 180Cdi SE 5 Dr Tip Auto, to replace my wife's VW Touran. Deal agreed subject to viewing.

Car has leather, panoramic roof, bluetooth, PDC, power mirrors, cruise, etc, and only 25.5k miles.
MBSH as follows:

9022 miles 20.6.07
15,127 miles 1.7.09
20,376 miles 29.7.11

New front pads and discs, 2 new tyres, MOT till Sept 12, 2 owners (husband and wife though).

All for 8k.

Does this history sound ok to you, and are there any particular potential issues for which I should be on the lookout when inspecting a B180?

Interestingly they've advertised it as "glacier blue", but I can't fina a MB colour of that name. It looks almost silver / very pale blue in the photos.

Thanks

I / We almost went for that colour but decided on silver... I know boring but suits it.

I would have liked the roof, but my main tick lists were, auto, parking sensors and heated seats and I mangaged to find one that almost ticks the box's.

My wife loves hers and actually so do I, the 7 speed CVT box it a little odd at first just like one big gear.....you don't notice it change. I jump in my e class and its cluncky after that.

This was ours the day we collected it.

As we say goodbye to the old A class we had for 4 years, that was really nice :)

Enjoy

I think we bought ours on around 25K and its now on 40K, its had the ATF oil changed and I've had some new tyres on the front. Great car.

It does 45mpg almost any trip and I've seen 59mpg ! the extra floor space under the boot is handy also. Lots of room and feels bigger than it is. I guess just test every button works and it drives nicely. Check the arches for rust...not sure these are bad in that department but no harm looking. Make sure the roof opens and closes without squeaks etc.

Thanks for ther tips, nice looking car there...in fact not boring at all, silver was her preferred choice, but this one looks almost silver so it'll do! Main draw is the ultra low mileage FSH and leather.

These are 7 speed?!?

If I buy it tomorrow, I'll post up some pics !

^ 7 speed if you get the auto.

6 speed (I think) for the manual,

BE double sure you do like the colour... I know its low miles but I waited and waited to find ours in the spec my wife wanted. Coulour is pretty important imho and lets me honest silver looks good in any Merc :)

Post the pics if you get it !

Inside ours, half leather....

How many times do I have to say this? The old B Class auto is CVT thus doesn't have any real gears.

Just gears programmed by software, so that is why they are so smooth!
