Hi all,

Got a 2004 c220 a few weeks ago, great car, it runs great. There's a couple of places on the car where I want to restore/replace because of rust/corrosion.

The image above is the Driver door pillar, am I able to get this part referred, or is a new part required? Ive looked online but I can't find any new ones in the country, I've only found ones in America.
There's also another problem on the other side, there's like bubbles of paint.

This is the trim on the side of the windscreen. It seems faded. Its the same throughout the car, and on the opposite side. Is there anything I can get from Halfords or anywhere to make it look better?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Regarding the door pillar trim, have you asked at your local MB dealer? They will be able to order the correct part.

Is the windscreen trim plastic? If so then there are many products that claim to restore faded trim. Search the web, read reviews etc and make your choice.

Il pop down there tomorrow I think, my family hasn't had a good experience with them but since there's none I can find online gonna have to get it through them.

I thought it was metal but I just had another look at it and its plastic, so Il go down to Hanford tomorrow and see if they recommend anything.

Also try local brakers yard, I've found a few parts through scrappers yards.

I used car plan back to black and it worked a treat brought the plastic back to its new look
Cheers
Ben

Thanks for the help Ben, will back to black last a long time or will the plastic go back to normal when it rains or I wash the car?
