hi guys can anyone advise me what tyre size i would need for 9.5 inch by 19 in rims on rear and 8.5 inch by 19 on front for my 1993 500 sec (c140) also by how much could i lower it and what springs should i use... thanxs

Hi,

IMO...

Tyre sizes for the 19" wheels would be :

255/40 19 Front
285/35 19 Rear

( Not sure how much room in rear arch..poss would require turning in of inside arch lip ?? )

As for lowering springs - I take it that the car does not have air suspension as on the newer model CL, I would go for either Eibach or H&R springs - both lower by around 15 mm.

Would not lower it more than that as you will def spoil that magic ride and play havoc with the alignment especially coupled with the larger wheel size..

cheers yar.. thanxs for the advise.... also i have seen a 1996 cl600 for sale is there much difference between the 500 and 600 to justify the change...

Four more cylinders for a start.
