Hi, I have had a problem with the engine for a while. Misfire on No. 1 cylnder, management light comes on, light goes out after a while. Had a compression test, 170 on cylinders 2,3,4; 100 on cylinder no.1. The mechanic tells me there ia a problem with the valve guide on cylinder no.1.
Having read through some old threads it seems to be a common fault. Could it be a design fault that I would be able to claim against off Mercedes?
The car is an 03, it has done 69,000 miles.
Any help or advice would be grateful.
