C180K Chip

Hi People, New to this site and also new to being a Merc owner. Just taken delievery of a 2005 C180K SE Auto Evo Sport. Have been told that the engine is the same as the 200K and 230K. Does any one know of any chip conversions that can give and extra 20-25 bhp?? So far its super chips with 10-15bhp. I know the 230 has a shorter pully on the Kompressor which adds the most guts. Please help in need of more oomph! Other than that, love the car and all the gadgets.

Had you enquired about the free engine upgrade that MB were doing before your purchase i.e 200K for same price 180K?

Not too sure about your chip upgrade but i am sure it can eb done and other will be able to point you in teh right direction here BUT it will no doubt invalidate your warranty to some extent.

dont go down the chip route - for £1400 Brabus will 'K3' your car. I am having this done in the summer.

Its a new ECU and exhaust/air filter system and takes my 200k from 163 to 196 bhp. they do a B1 EVO upgrade for the 180, taking it to 155bhp IIRC.

Its expensive but the brabus stuff is top quality and wont invalidate your warranty. which is pretty important really!

yeah the trunk badge is cool and no doubt they would throw it in as they offered it when i had the suspension fitted. But i still have AMG wheels so think it would look a bit odd? I suppose i could get brabus centercaps on the wheels....

Keep the AMGs/MB centre caps - they are nice wheels and will make ur car even more unique (which it certainly is already...) - fact that ur car is black makes its a tradional Brabus!

Black is the colour of brabus (i find they actually look wierd in other colours - tho that may just be me) indeed.

In the UK, MB main dealers are Brabus agents. Brabus dealers now gone.
