Hi
Anyone have any idea why my 2004 C200CDi goes into limp mode on random occasions? Sometimes it can be months in between occurrences and it is usually after long journeys. More recently it has occurred only after 5 or 10 minutes but it is always triggered by accelerating (often on motorway slip roads). It can be cleared by turning the ignition off for a few seconds. I usually drive with a light foot so am not sure if this would occurr more often if I accelerated more heavily. My local Mercedes garage have not got a clue and could only suggest changing the turbo unit but they did not know what was causing the problem so i have no confidence this expensive fix will work.
