c220 cdi smoking

Hi guys, me again, ive got a C220 cdi sport and it used to smoke a patch when i used to put the peddle to the floor (aparentley common for diesel), but now at times ive notice it even lets off more smoke than normal when I take off. Whats wrong?

Start with the simple stuff. Change the air filter, put some Millers injector cleaner in it and take it out for an Italian tune-up!

Then move onto faulty MAF sensor, injectors, EGR valve or resonance flap.

hmm, ive put the cleaner in, its had new injectors and a maf not too long ago, you think maybe it needs a oil change?

hi guys, ive put the injector cleaner in, no joy, it makes my bumper black and got pulld over on way back from luton today by the police warning me to get the car checked out asap... help quick plz!!!

How many miles has your car done? I am wondering if your engine has worn piston rings. The only other explainaition I can imagine (considering you have had new injectors) is that there is a fault with the ECU or the fuel pump is delivering too high a pressure. Have you had the EGR valve checked? How does the car perform?

hi mate, its done 130,000 unsure about getting the egr valve checked, performs spot on though, just as my other one does...
