C220 P1402 help

Hitech I hope you see this

I am having a very similar issue with my w203 c220,

Car would occasionally go into limp mode and got more regular up until the car would conk out and not start until I cleaned the egr, although this now has stopped working. Car is constantly in limp mode, I've had all sorts of codes

P1400
P1402
P1405
P1408
P0404

I put the egr bypass mod on from Alex Crow which seems to have made little difference although I do now have fewer codes

P1400
P1402
P1405

The 1402 seemed to occur the most so set about putting a new dpf sensor on as you have found off eBay but still no joy, I am running out of ideas so any wisdom you have to share would be massively appreciated.

Thanks

You still have egr and pressure sensor faults, did you do the egr bypass correctly? Also is the sensor genuine (Bosch)?

Right so today the car started and wasn't in limp mode for the first time in a long time. The car got up to thermostat temp for the first time in a while as well. It was like a new car! The car smelt very hot after approx 15 minutes of running so I am guessing the dpf was running a refresh. I then had to sit at idle for a period of about 5 minutes when I took off again back in limp mode. Read the codes when I got to destination.

P1402
P1405

I still have the egr bypass engaged.

Any suggestions? I must be on the right track as the car had been in limp mode for weeks now.

Thanks

Another update to my predicament

Car again started out of limp mode today and immediately went into dpf regen as soon as the car was hot enough,

It seems more 50/50 whether it starts in limp mode or not now so it looks like it is heading in the right direction and the dpf must just be caked up to hell.

Strangely the car starts out of limp mode more often than not if I start the car with the throttle pedal flat to the floor.

Hopefully the limp mode episodes will become fewer and eventually the dpf will clear now that the egr is blanked off.

Only just seen this post. Apologies. You have bought an aftermarket DPF sensor which will throw up the P1402 and also probably P1408 and possibly P1401. ( which im experiencing on my own car presently awaiting a DPF sensor. Stop going round in circles with it. Purchase a genuine dpf sensor. 9/10 of the aftermarket ones will give you errors. Ive worked on m8ts cars same models with the same problems with aftermarket dpf sensors.
