C320 CDI
Hi all,

I have a W204 C320 CDI with 7G tranny since a few months and I am facing some comfort problems and hope someone will help me sort it out.
Transmission has been flushed a month ago at 100 000 km and has been flushed first time at 50 000km.
I have a Star Diag and there is NO faults in the TCU, it's very confusing for me.

Upshift :
- When the car shifts 1-2 it's not often smooth. It's not a but-kick but I do feel the change 99% of the time.
- When shifting 2-3, sometimes I feel like a hesitation and it results in a jerk (slight back/forth movement)

Downshift :
- Hard downshift from 3-2 and 2-1 just like when you engage the clutch a bit too early on a manual transmission. Makes passenger think I don't know how to brake smoothly :-/

I did an adaptation with Star (difficult to stay in the torque / rpm windows) :
- 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts
- Downshift from 5th gear to 1st gear
- Torque converter lockup clutch by Torque window and Fill times

I did not adapt "Acceleration downshift" though, but I don't know if it has something to do with my issues.

Note that I have an injector correction value at -6.80us at 1200 bars for 2 injectors. All other values are 0.

Any ideas ??
I am really concerned and starting to hate my car, it's a dream becoming a nightmare...

Any advice ?

May of already tried but have you tried resetting the TCU? By way of the method of depressing the accelerator for so many seconds... I can't remember the exact method right now I'll try and find the thread explaining it tomorrow

But seeing as you've played about in Star I'm guessing you'd of already known about that, there'll be someone else who will know more along shortly :thumb:

My past C320CDi and current C350CDI both did/ do the same although i'd say it's more noticable with the 350.

I've had the fault codes read with STAR and had the ATF changed about 5k miles ago but no fault codes were logged and no change despite the flush and service.

Does the problem go away once up to temp as it does in mine?
