C350E 2016 E Mode Grayed out

Hi Recently bought a c350e knowing that there is an issue with the fan running at full speed constantly.
The car itself drives fine but e mode is unavailable and shows grayed out. I didnt think much of it and thought it probably needs a charge before it activates.
done a charge overenight, charged to 11 miles emode is still grayed out. I've noticed im not getting great mpg even on hybrid but now i think its not even going into hybrid mode, i think its purely using the petrol motor

I've also replaced the 12v battery in the boot, still no luck

Do you mean to say that the car won't drive on the high voltage battery? But only on the petrol engine? If so, then the problem is with the HV battery?

Also, did you buy the car from a trader, or in a private sale?

I don’t think it’s the hv battery

I think the fan being on constantly might be stopping the e mode from being switched on. Any idea where the fuse for the fan is?

Well the relay for the fan might be causing this or the temperature sender may be failing,suggest you get some sort of diagnostic tool to help sort the car out,if you have bought from a dealer is the car under warranty

Not from dealer, can you point me in the direction of the relay?
