I just bought a genuine Merc lower front control arm as the dealer showed me that the car's left one was worn and their £440 replacement cost was too much.
Does anyone know the torque settings for the 4 nuts associated with the arm?
One online video specifically for the C350e shows the 4 nuts being tightened with no torquing at all and two videos for the W205 give varying torque information.
At least two of the 3 bolts used on W204 arms have angles to tighten them after torquing so does this mean they are stretch bolts that need to be renewed and does this apply to the W205 too?
I looked at the Merc online parts catalogue and found the analogs for one bolt, just in case I needed it. Unfortunately ebay shows them all as unsuitable for my car!
The upside is the I have its part number so I could get it from Mercedes if needed.
