C43 air filters

hi guys pick up my 2017 C43 coupe tommorro from merc dealer with 2yr AMG warranty after selling my CLA45 AMG
my question is if a change my panel airfilters too k and n etc could this void my warranty
car is serviced at a independent merc specialist who are recognised by the dealer I am getting it from,just seems daft paying for new filters at merc intervals when lifetime ones are same price,hopefully gain a bit of induction noise too

Forgetting that fact that they don't filter as well...the main point of filters....it could not void your warranty unless they could prove the filter had a DIRECT affect on the failure....so if you, for example, had a wiring loom burn out or exhaust crack you would be covered.....but if your maf failed due to dirt/dust contamination then you would be on a sticky wicket. But if they spot them they will try it on regardless of the claim type....but they would be wrong......and expect a battle.......
Not worth the hassle for no real gain and worse filtration imo.
