C43 AMG Estate

Around £8000 or £9000 I reckon, its got a lotta miles on it.....

Why do people always say 'Drives like its covered less than actual mileage' or similar when trying to sell a high mileage car. If its a merc, it will look/drive like a Merc that has covered 140k, if its a ford with 140k on it, it would be in a crap yard!!!!

GRRR

I personally don't like estate cars but think the cars worth approx £7,800. Also didn't see any mention of service history in the ad although I may have missed it.

too many miles for my taste but it's non silver which is a plus. Prices for C43's have dropped quite a bit in the past year, I'd wait for a lower mileage one to come along.

Or make him an offer of £6500 cash :p

The car has had 5 owners, im sure not all can have been merc fans, look at the mat on the drivers side

I watch this seller quite a bit 'cause he has some interesting stuff. He seems to put the same mats in quite a few cars dependent upon the body colour, either to hide something or just to "set it off" in questionable style!

Watch out for this C43 as it has been through and completed several times but as yet no-one has parted with their hard-earned...could just be dodgy winning bidders of course.

Probably worth viewing before a bid I would have thought.

Maff pointed out a silver Saloon that was for sale in my thread in the general section Low miles. £10500. Looking for below the 10K band where poss. Might just go for this up to 8K and see what happens.

Just noticed I posted this one (C43 Estate) before: -

It made £7,100 first time 'round.
Good luck with your bids.

Seems a shame, it would be more "complete" with a set of AMG floormats and they're only about £70 (£90 including tunnel ;) ).

that was up for £10500 with the AMG plate, if you're not fussed about that then the seller will probably take an offer below £10k.

Steering looks worn? Same problem with my C43 AMG with 60k on the clock slight wearing to steering wheel at the top. Great car, and if it wasnt for my E500 I probably would have bid.

I've been watching this seller for months and all the cars the same cheapo mats :)

Thanks for that. I just gave the guy a call and was quite impressed really in how genuine he seemed. If anything he talked the car down more than trying to push the price up. Seems he has had a string of test drivers and tyre kickers. I now know where to stop bidding. Just watch this space I guess. This is the trouble with going to car shows makes me want to blow a load of cash.

Oh has anyone got a 1/4 mile time for a C43??

Its a nice looking car but why didnt the winning bidder take it last time?

I have never seen one (AMG) in that colour before, looks really quite good.

From what the guy said just didnt seem interested. Had a look said he would come back and didnt bother. The guys called hime got him back down. Went inside to get some paperwork and he had gone.

Dare I ask what the fuel consumption of these beasts is.

In town expect about 180 miles out of a tank (£50) and on the motorway you'll get between 250 and 280 depending on how you drive

Worst I've got is 140 and the best is 290, but that was with one of Graemes magnetisers. Needless to say I normally fully excercise the car when I drive ;)
