C43 AMG w202 estate

View attachment 174937

Big money for THIS ex-Eric Clapton owned C43. I'm assuming it wasn't Eric who fitted a full set of Chinese tyres and the awful back-box 😂. At least the original comes with it though.
Eric’s a bu99er for that stuff. He always gets the first round at the bar, the one before anyone else gets there.

I must admit that when it comes to getting in a round, he has a slow hand....... 😎

No I agree, it'll sit forever at that price.

Unless there's some Clapton fanatic out there with more money than sense!
Strong money and unless my old eyes deceive me, it's at least 2 different shades of silver down the driver's side, if not 3

To be fair, I think that's probably just the light as it seems to change with each angle.

You can bet your bottom dollar it will have had paint at some point though. In 2025, I'd say any W202 that hadn't had any paintwork would either resemble a lace doily by now, or be transportable via a dustpan & brush 😂🫣

Why did Clapton cheap out on factory options, like roller blind and park aid?
Lack of funds perhaps? 🤔

He could have ordered a very special C43 with the larger displacement from M113980 the so called 5,4L engine.
Then it would have been a very very special car. 👍

Come on Eric, you know better than that! Every C43 is very special 😉

I think it sold close to £7995 back in 2024? It was also spotted in a video in Raj's garage in for audio update, so has been around. The shut lines are good, i have seen some c43 with wavey bumper line, not fitting nicely but this ones definitely has had bumpers resprayed and refitted correctly. Headlights have a bit of condensation that can be rectified. I rang the garage, apparently it needed aircon recharge.

Now sold according to the eBay listing

I went and saw it today. It definitely is not worth £20k or even £10k. The head lining is gone, especially to the rear offside and held in place with paper clips. Door window trim needs replacing x4, there is some surface rust around the engine bay and maybe on the underside? Sideskirt seals are missing, some start of age related corrosion to all 4 doors inner bottom parts behind rubbber, again age related. Some condensation to foglights, and all electric window buttons are sticky, it may need electronic contract spray. I didnt bother looking at the undercarriage as the price does not reflect the condition of car but it does have new MOT. Car needs a bit of TLC, where it's been sitting around, mother nature is just starting to take control. Car is still available, will need TLC though, ideal for an enthusiast like me but not that kind of money. The Monoblock has been refurbished but one of the wheels just started corrosion due to the diamond cut nature of the lips. There is also some deep scratch to the underside of the front bumper. Seats and steering wheel in good condition, not tested the lumbar supports, engine sounds sweet as a nut as expected from a M113. If the price was right, I would buy, left my offer with the chap. Not interested that it was owned by Eric, just the car.20250725_141630.jpg20250725_141633.jpg20250725_141652.jpg

I did a thing...
So... with our house move purchase as shaky as one of Rachel from Accounts plans, I have done another thing.
We have had to start looking at properties with less parking/single garage.
It sold in 48hours. worth every penny and gone to live in Eire. (yes, regretting it already)
