See if you can while away the hours and find evidence of 'someone on the internet' successfully using a 722.626?

On paper, the OM613 application put out 60 Nm more than C43.
(But not graph paper... the diesel torque gradient will be lesser).

Would save some of the folding paper. I take Paypal too.

you can use the 722.636 tranny from e55 with minor tweaks to make it work on c43

What sort of small tweaks would be involved that you know of?

I have a good 722.626 in a E320cdi that's going to scrap soon.
Be a pioneer.

Here you go, this chap's just got a cheap E55 which could provide the whole shopping list...plus a few mods.

I don't have any history at all. It came with nothing but I have emailed MB customer services the relevant proof of ownership and they are going to get as much info as they hold on the car and e-mail me it. very good of them!

I have the gearbox out and it has the following numbers on;
R 210 271 08 01 on the bell housing and R140 27126 01 on the main housing if them are of any good?

Hi all. Back off holiday.

I have managed to get a gearbox for the car!! It came up for sale on eBay so snapped it up.

I went to mb dealer to get service kit for the box. I took my log book and asked him to do a check on his system to see if there was any history which he confirmed there was not.

The email address i used was [email protected] and i had to include a scan of my v5 log book and scan of drivers licence. If you are wanting to try and trace history my advice would be to go and see the guys in parts dept of any dealer, they all seem down to earth and helpful.

I have just managed today to get a set of original amg staggered alloys from a breakers 2 mile away from me. A friend tipped me off that the yard had just taken the car in.
All 4 are straight and are undamaged with only light peeling on a couple. I got them for a bargain price so leaves me enough to get them professionally refurbed and some new tyres.

I have also decided to get a custom made stainless pipe made from manifold back over. Its getting done in 3 weeks time. Gearbox will be fitted by end of next week fingers crossed.

That just leaves the heater control panel. Can't find any where in the uk. plenty over the pond but I've never bought from there via eBay as I'm not sure about custom charges.

Any pointers would be helpful.
