Not sure what the story is on this one.....its been up for sale a number of times over the last couple of months.
You can only assume that a) its dodgy or b) over priced.
Either way its just not selling
I would have thought an advert in Mercedes Enthusiast would have been a better place to advertise a C43, especially if you want a half way decent price for it.
think the reason it's hard to sell is because the next service is the mega huge one where all the belts are changed which is big bucks to fork out right after buying the car.
It's apparently just had a service so it's got about another 10k before the next is due and AFAIK there is no service schedule that includes the chain.
At about 100k miles the incremental jobs seem to stack up into one huge service that can be pretty expensive, I've had to do that twice and it's nasty.
Ha! - that used to be my car before I upgraded to the C32. Though I can't vouch for it now - I bought it Aug '03 and sold it May '05 and did approx 30k miles in it if I remember. It was completely trouble free. Aside from normal servicing (parts and labour for a plug change is interesting...there are 16 and the rear most ones are a pig to get at) I had the gearbox oil and filter changed as a precaution and the multi-belt and tensioner changed while I owned it. I'm half tempted to bid on it! - it was a fantastic car in lovely condition...I think it had around 92k on it when I sold it though I can't be positive.
I'm constantly amazed that people with expensive cars on Ebay appear only to have phone cameras.Unless you take some decent pics inside and out you are wasting your time. Here's my last listing of a car of no great value(I accepted £1200) but I spent some time taking photo's of. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4592989440
An identical BMW from another seller only made £720 the week before because of the piss poor photo's in their listing.
