C55 AMG Estate advice

I've driven a couple. They are great fun and make the best sound ever from their 5.4 V8 The paddle shift enable you to control the exhaust volume from rumble to bellow at any speed. I understand they go through tyres (hmm I wonder why) otherwise they are pretty similiar to all other w203 facelift models in terms of reliability and niggles.

The one in your ad seems to be very nice and has most the toys apart from lux climate control.HTH

There's a review in the AMG collection book (the second one covering models from the years 2000-2006) from a one year long road test. Guy testing it loved it to bits & thought it was the ultimate in load lugging lunacy

If I needed an estate then I'd certainly consider one :D The one in Farnham looks like a decent one - best thing to do is go have a look at it and give it a test drive. Only thing to remember is that it won't be a cheap beast to run/service/insure etc but ownership should be a very rewarding experience so if you can afford to run one then I'd say go for it.

Cheers,
Mark

It does look very tempting. Does anybody know if major service would have been covered already after 66,000 miles, specifically spark plugs or other costly items?

Lovely looking car, buy it!
Any questions about what they are like to live with, drop me a pm

Spark plugs are 4 years or 50,000 miles I think, so should have had them done. ATF change is important - this is every 36,000 miles IIRC. I would check the history carefully and call the servicing dealer to get them to tell you exactly what it is has done. It should be on the second set of discs.

Lovely looking wagon.

I've just put a deposit down on a saloon version of the C55. Should be picking it up later in the week.

Once I have it I will be happy to answer any questions about the car.

ive a,lways been impressed with the calibre of cars Hawthorns keep, on the occasions i have been there. not cheap though iirc
